    Typical Asian fathers don’t prefer surprises. A kind seeking his permission will get a sense where he stands on a matter. Perhaps he like his garden. Did you mess it up? Just saying.

    • We help him with his garden usually once a month (for the last two years). He has us doing all sorts of errands and heavy labor.
      But we’re always goofing off, so he’s kind of just like “guys… be serious, please…”

    I’m 30 and still act like I’m 22. The key to be happy is to act young. Go for it!
