Comic: If rabbits could talk, what would they say?

55 bunnies are fashionistas comic cartoon amwf amww japan living in japan foreigner husband is japanese texan in tokyo

When I was younger and I saw people talking about funny, awkward pillow-talk online, I was just like “Yeah, like that actually happens…”

But then I grew up, got married, and yeah, that actually does happen.

If dogs could talk, they would say silly, brainless things like “I love you,” “SQUIRREL,” or “I am so happy!” If cats could talk, they would probably say things like “Feed me, human,” “don’t pet me unless you’ve washed your hands,” and “I want to sit on your laptop keys while you type.”

I’m convinced bunnies would be these sassy fashionistas who would silently (and sometimes not-so-silently) judge you for your fashion sense. Especially mixing and matching colors.

I have no idea why. But I’m like really sure this would happen.

  1. I think that if animals could speak, humans would treat them totally differently :-(

  2. So funny! I love animals and all your stories about different caffes! I also found this and I was wondering if it is in tokyo, it is really sweet! Maybe you can check him out! http://www.buzzfeed.com/kristinchirico/hello-canine-help-you

  3. “IFAIKT, rabbits are rarely, if ever, anthropomorphized in Japanese culture.”

The Japanese in fact, do the best anthropomorphized rabbits I’ve ever seen. Check out ‘Cat Shit One’. Don’t let the title deter you.

If the above link doesn’t work for you, do a web search. The episode is hosted for free on several sites. Of course, the original Japanese dialogue is superior to the English dubbing.

    • When I moved to the states as a kid, I saw Looney Tunes for the first time. Back then, I thought the anthropomorphic animals with the “human” proportions were really … weird. They really bothered me.

  4. I talk for my rabbit all the time. She mostly just asks for food and threatens to eat people. She seems to have a Russian accent too 0_O

  5. American rabbit:
    “Eh … What’s up, doc?”

    Japanese rabbit:
    … silence …

IFAIKT, rabbits are rarely, if ever, anthropomorphized in Japanese culture.

I’m with Ryosuke on this one.

So cute! and…of course it really happens! ;) Doesn’t matter how old the lovers are or how long they’ve been lovers…silly talk in bed is as old as time (I’d know, I’m as old as the hills XD).
