Comic: The Dangers of Haruichiban (first wind of spring)

21 haruichiban okaasan comic cartoon first wind of spring japan

I wrote this comic a couple of weeks ago and promptly forgot out about (oops).

Haru-ichiban is like the “first wind of spring” / “first day of spring.” It is categorized by unbelievably strong winds. From haruichiban onward, it is spring. It is supposed to signal the end of winter.

The winds weren’t actually strong enough to blow me away (of course), but I thought it was very sweet Ryosuke’s mother was so worried. We DID see several bikes get blown over by the wind, though.
