29 ldr looks like amwf comic cartoon ldr long distance relationship

Ryosuke and I have been together for 3 years now. 526 of those days have been long distance. In less than 40 hours, he lands in Philadelphia airport, we get married, and we move to Japan.

I’m in the home stretch of my long distance relationship.

I can’t believe we made it.

Aaahhh, so happy for both of you :D I also hate long distance relationship (who doesn’t?!) but I’m going to see him in less than three weeks… oh my God, can’t wait! It’s been 6 months I didn’t see him. At first it was very hard, but with school I had other things on my mind so I stopped thinking about it and missing him all day every day! Haha. Still miss him a lot though. But reading about you and Ryosuke gives me hope. We have about 3 years before we can be together, too (I have to finish my studies in Canada).

    I hope you’ll be a happy married couple :D

    • Thanks so much!
And I wish you the best of luck in your long distance relationship. The distance is pretty awful, but I think it makes you stronger as a couple.
      Have fun during your visit!

  2. Woohoo! Always happy to see people get something they waited so long for :)

  3. Congrats. I just found your website and I love it. My boyfriend, Tomokazu, and I have been separated because of school since May of this year. It is extremely hard, but I know not being with his harder. Thank you for staying strong and showing others that Long distance relationship work. I hope one day I can say the same thing :)

    • Wow, that’s been a long time. That’s incredible!
Thankfully, my fiance and I still get to see each other every couple months (but yeah, long distance is haaaaaaard…)

When will you see him again?

      • We get to see each other every month or two since he lives in Boston, but with my job and school and his school its hard to find times where I can go see him so usually he sees me. We are going to Japan for Christmas for 15 days and I can’t wait. Which part of Japan will you move to?

        • Ouch, one every month or so is pretty rough… But it’s not horrible (right?) I think as long as you communicate regularly and make each other your top priority, the distance isn’t too awful. But then again, we got engaged pretty early into our long distance, and that helped calm the nerves.

He is working and will be placed in either Hiroshima or Osaka (I have my fingers crossed for Osaka)

          • That is awesome. I hope you get Osaka then. We both hope we can stay together and I hate the distance, but we have dinner dates or movie dates. For instance we will watch the same movie around the same time or like last night we skyped while making Okonomiyaki and then ate it together. I know for me I would rather be together even if that means being apart while we get our education than breaking up.

How does it feel having him with you now. I am glad you guys are together now because it give me more hope that long distance can work. I will see Tomo in eight days and we will be tougher for 10 days. So excited. Enjoy your time :)

  4. So pleased for you :)

  5. I’ve been reading your blog for a while and even though I don’t actually know you guys, I’m so happy for you! Congratulations on never giving up despite your difficulties and pulling through to this point:) All the best on your amazing journey ahead!
